My favorite tools: Unreal Engine 5, Blender, Photoshop, Premiere, Trello, SourceTree, Articy: Draft, World Machine, a synthesizer, and a MIDI Keyboard. I do leverage AI as a productivity assistant and I do endorse its use, but not for final or generative creative (art)works. I see it as a powerful productivity and brainstorming tool in skilled hands, like any other. I don’t need AI to write or create but I think its contextual functions are amazing.

Why hire me?
I have a professional bachelor degree in applied informatics, studied one full year of film and one full year of digital arts and entertainment. That were the basics: after that I collected over five years of professional consultancy experience for multiple international companies, after which I started my own company with Past Future Entertainment.
I embrace lifelong learning: I continuously study, take new courses, follow up on relevant technology for the digital entertainment industry. I also actively work on several digital entertainment projects. I really thrive in complex settings and I like challenging projects.
I combine creative, design, entertainment, and technical IT skills into a versatile profile.
Writing, designs, digital audio, environmental storytelling, composition & design principles are as important to me as the technical side of digital creative productions.
My part-time availability ensures a peak performance, focus, and top-quality output can go to your project during my most productive hours of the day. All creative assignments include IP transfers by default, ensuring you retain full rights to your project. I am familiar with Non-Disclosure Agreements, IP and copyright. Expect professional, efficient communication in English and/or Dutch, and rather some extra questions over assumptions.
Let’s talk about your creative project and how I can help you.

I strongly believe remote work is win-win for both clients and creatives. Here‘s why:
I work most efficiently from my own office in Belgium with a custom, optimized hard- & software setup. A powerful workstation with multiple screens, good sound, customized professional tools and software, a fast reliable internet connection, and most importantly: a door that can be closed, with no distractions around. This way, I can work with full focus and at peak performance.
I am a big advocate of goal setting with goal focused work sessions where I put my smartphone away, and close my mailbox until the session is over. I learned from experience that my best work and productivity peaks when I can lock out all external distractions: perhaps quite obvious, but by far not a default in many work environments! I avoid multitasking, fixed commutes, and (pointless) meetings that don’t absolutely require my presence. I am also convinced that (open) office spaces can distract creatives from from achieving their core tasks in a performant way. Such workspace setups can certainly work and have their value for certain businesses models and teams, but in my creative work, I thrive outside the nine-to-five mindset, and within a creative, distraction-free space. That’s important. Time, focus and efficiency being explained, I choose to offer remote work only. I see remote work as beneficial, both for me as a creative and for my clients getting results.
Of course we can meet over video whenever required, and before any first collaboration I offer a intro call to feel if there is a mutual click to work together. I wish you a great & creative day, my reader, and the best of luck with your projects! Feel free to check out the “about Past Future Entertainment” post for more info on my work and the company.
